Volkswagen (VW) is a German automobile manufacturer founded in 1937. Volkswagen is speeding up its further development into a software-oriented mobility provider.
At the same time, Volkswagen is making good progress on the “way to ZERO”. The goal is to be carbon-neutral in 2050. Electrification, software-defined products, new business models and autonomous driving – these four major pillars will determine the future development of vehicles.

Project Goals
Volkswagen has taken a decision on a global level that they have to implement different measures so that they could reduce significantly the CO2 emissions released by the vehicles produced by VW Group.
- Following the goal to reduce the amount of CO2 emissions VW started the PegMan program.
- It consists of 19 investment projects with a total budget of over 100 Million EUR per year.
- The aim of this program is to develop and integrate different digital tools that will be used for the management and monitoring of the VW production and sales processes.
